RRCU at Children’s National Hospital’s Research, Education, and Innovation Week

Alison Spaziani, a US-based RRCU program coordinator, represented RRCU at the Research, Education, and Innovation Week at Children's National Hospital’s in Washington, DC, engaging attendees with an interactive and informative presentation. She provided an overview of RRCU, highlighting its mission, capabilities, and impact in advancing RHD research and patient care.

A key focus of Alison’s presentation was the ongoing collaboration between RRCU and Children's National, emphasizing joint efforts in research, education, and innovative healthcare solutions. She shared insights on how this partnership is driving advancements in pediatric and adult patient care through groundbreaking research and innovative strategies. Children’s National is a founding partner of RRCU and has employed and hosted dozens of RHD-focused co-Investigators and research staff over the past ten years.

To keep the session engaging, Alison also tested attendees' knowledge about echo, RHD, rheumatic fever and Uganda with Trivia questions, encouraging participation, adding an interactive, fun and competitive edge to the event.
